Programmer Analyst with infrastructure maintenance, helpdesk and web development skills.

We are looking for an experienced Programmer Analyst, for our office in Sydney, NSW (Australia), in the Norwest Business Park. It is possible that the person we are seeking could be you or a member of your church. Please pass these details on to whoever you think would be applicable. Thank you!

The successful applicant will need to be able to work in a team environment with others who share a common goal of providing a high level of service.

Applications will close in the near future (the date will be updated here). If we find suitable candidate/s earlier than that, we may start the interview process earlier.

More Detail About the Role Available

Most of the time will normally be spent on Microsoft (MS) CRM or web site development, utilizing .NET and SQL development skills. We have extended MS CRM, developing web services and extensive use of Javascript. Our web sites are built using ColdFusion. Currently we have our own web servers, which we manage and maintain ourselves, also providing web hosting for our colleagues in other parts of the world.

There is a need to keep the rest of our infrastructure working, so there will always be the need for setup and maintenance of that, including servers, PCs, network and telephony. There is also the need to provide a variety of technology-related assistance to the rest of the organization.

The Information Technology (IT) team supports CCLI's operations in the Asia-Pacific region from the main office in Sydney, Australia, currently serving churches in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. In the near future there will also be operations in India and South Korea. We also regularly liaise with colleagues in other regions, particularly in Europe and North America. All of these activities add to the scope of the work by the IT team. Because of all of that, someone with a more global perspective, an understanding of Asian cultures and languages would be a bonus.

There is a wide variety of projects, offering a large degree of variety in your role and means you will widely broaden your skills-base in a short amount of time.

We like to stay current with new technologies, and one example of that is we will be progressing to MS CRM 5.0 on its release.

Overview of requirements

The person we're looking for ideally has most of these skills, with the priority being for .NET and SQL development:
  • Minimum 3 years software / web development experience, primarily in a .NET environment
  • Strong SQL 2005+ development skills, including SQL programming, SSIS and reports development
  • Experience in SDK development for Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Experience in web development with ColdFusion a plus
  • Experience in server, PC, network, and telephony setup and maintenance
  • Ability to communicate well with technical personnel, and non-technical users, keeping the customer perspective in mind
  • A passion for technology

This is a full-time position.
